Responsibilities

• Plan, promote, teach, and evaluate youth educational programs under the direction of the local Extension agents.
• Partner with community groups and schools for summer programming.
• Coordinate and teach health and wellness youth programs through day camps and other youth events.
• Collect and report on program evaluations for health and wellness youth programs delivered.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

What you'll Need

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Desire to work with youth.
• Possess computer skills including email and Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to demonstrate basic food safety and preparation skills.
• Interest in facilitating health and wellness youth programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with individuals and/or groups to accomplish goals.
• Experience researching curriculum.
• Facilitating and evaluating educational programs.
• Experience working with diverse youth audiences.

Other Requirements:

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
• Requires a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and a willingness to travel to achieve program objectives.
